Job Details Responsibilities
Accountable for overall project success, including profitability, schedule, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for directing project management and field staff to execute project strategy and overcome challenges.
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with clients and stakeholders associated with each construction project.
Manages and mentors Project Engineers and interns.
Oversee assigned projects per the HB Standard processes, from Pre-Construction through Closeout.
Supports the Project Superintendents to manage and maintain project schedule according to HB Standard.
Manages overall project budget and finances to achieve margin, cashflow and profit goals.
Visits and/or works from construction sites to monitor project progress and address issues in a timely manner.
Monitors and manages health, safety, and OSHA requirements.
Identifies value added opportunities to meet and/or exceed client and stakeholder specific goals.
Collaborates and maintains a strong partnership with the Project Superintendent on each of the assigned projects.
Monitors and ensures strong subcontractor relationships.
Identifies and pursues opportunities to solicit referrals from and/or through clients and stakeholders.
Identifies opportunities for community involvement and/or giving on each assigned project.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. Candidates with significant relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
Experience managing construction projects of various sizes and complexity is highly valued.
Familiarity with construction industry standards, practices, and regulations is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Leadership abilities to effectively lead and motivate project teams.
Problem-solving skills to address challenges and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting (e.g., Microsoft Project and Procore).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification for construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification).
LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) for green building projects.
