BASIC FUNCTION:
Highly motivated to instill and maintain a culture of safety awareness in all team members throughout the organization. Must have a passion to consult with and coach team members in effective ways to work safety and protect all team members. Responsibilities include training and program assistance for all safety and health activities to ensure compliance with company, state and federal environmental health and safety policies and regulations. Conduct and document safety inspections, maintain safety training records, consult with team members to identify unsafe conditions, acts and procedures, as well as recommend corrective actions, and maintain safety equipment supply and availability.
The Safety & Health Coordinator will have expert knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within this particular field of health and safety.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Two-year degree in a Technical or Business field or 2 years’ experience with a Safety Program. Must have competency with Microsoft Office products. Must be able to build relationships and communicate professionally. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English.

Normal office conditions include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, driving, and/or traveling as needed.
Moderate exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works both in and out of doors, normally indoors, with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop.
