We are looking for a Customer Services Mechanical/Industrial Engineer Intern. This position will be based at our Sacramento area branch located in California.
During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Engineering Department where you will learn how our department is responsible for the engineering of modifications, modernizations and upgrades for all types of rail vehicles. We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

A little bit about us
Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

Who Should Apply?
· Education / Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with strong technical or analytical aptitude
· Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August
· Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
· Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
· Demonstrated leadership potential
· Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills
· Industry knowledge and/or interest
You’ll benefit from:
The hourly pay range for this position is $22 - $26 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
