We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Manager to oversee and manage transportation infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate with have a strong background in construction management with a focus on transportation projects such as highways, bridges and airport systems. The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Your Impact:
- Coordinate with contractors, sub-contractors, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues
- Coordinate and conduct regular project meetings to include scheduling and meeting documentation.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process
- Make informed decisions based on project requirements, plans and specifications, stakeholder input and industry best practices
- Coordinate and oversee a team of construction inspectors to adequately cover assigned projects per contractual obligations
- Review Plans and Specifications and provide feedback in areas of overall constructability, phasing and safety
- Review and process construction reports, contractor submittals, requests for information, pay applications and change order requests
Who you are:
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction management with a focus on transportation projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Familiarity with local, state and federal transportation regulations and requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates proficiency in understanding and reading contracts, plans, special provisions and documents as related to transportation construction and have a functional understanding and ability to learn contract administration and project management software.
- Must possess valid drivers' license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
